Referrals at Hornby Veterinary Centre
As a pet owner you want the best possible care for your pet and are cautious in choosing who you want to be your pet’s veterinarian. There are times though when your pet may benefit from more specific services and in some cases, this may mean being referred to another vet for a diagnostic or surgical procedure. This doesn’t mean that as a pet owner you want to discontinue your relationship with your primary care veterinarian but naturally you would expect vets to collaborate to determine the best course of action for your pet and tailor an individualized health plan.
We will take a holistic, team approach to all cases and collaborate with not only the referring veterinarian but also, if required, with other specialists to ensure our patients receive the best care possible.

We have digital radiology and top-level ultrasound equipment available for non-invasive diagnostics. Our surgeons perform orthopedic surgeries such as TTOs, TTAs or fracture repair and we offer advanced soft tissue surgery eg BOAS surgery, tracheostomy or complex tumor surgeries with various graft techniques. Besides canine and feline referrals, we are also happy to see pocket pets eg guinea pigs, rabbits, rats and mice.
