Alya Zamri

Hi, my name is Alya and I am one of the new faces of the HVC team for 2026. I graduated in 2020 with a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Nursing.

Initially started at HVC as a locum nurse and then realised that I loved working with the team and atmosphere here and decided to stick around. I am passionate about learning new knowledge of all aspects of being a veterinary nurse, from hospitalisation of the animals to working with clients to educating students and new nurses.

Apart from my veterinary nursing duties in clinic, I am also a peer tutor for veterinary students, do some research and advisory on the side.

At the family home, we have an orange tabby named Abu, who I fostered and decided that I didn’t want to put him up for adoption. Now he’s a beloved member of the family.
